I have been a lifelong Spurs fan, following in my late father’s footsteps and sharing his deep passion for the club. My journey with Spurs began in the 1980s when I started going to White Hart Lane with my dad, and since then, I’ve been a devoted supporter, watching games both in stadiums and on TV. One of my fondest memories is being able to take my dad to the new stadium before he sadly passed away in 2020. More recently, I’ve cherished the moments I’ve spent taking my late grandad to matches, and I now take my family, including my two daughters and my wife, who have embraced the Spurs spirit and occasionally now join me at games, creating lasting memories that I hold dear.

What started as a small idea to bring local fans together has quickly turned into something truly exciting for all Spurs fans in East Kent. The rapid growth of East Kent Spurs OSC has been incredible, and it’s been a real honour to be an integral part of making this idea a reality.

As Co-Chair, I’m immensely proud to help build the East Kent Spurs community. My role involves leading the club’s efforts to ensure we achieve our goals and create unforgettable experiences for fellow supporters. I am committed to promoting a welcoming, vibrant community where fans of all generations can connect and share their love for Spurs, whether it’s through match day meet-ups, social events, or special occasions – everyone is welcome.

Like most Tottenham supporters, I was born into it. Not many people actually choose to support Tottenham; it’s something that’s passed down through generations, and that’s why, in my opinion, we continue to have the best, most loyal support in the land. My family is originally from Walthamstow, East London. My grandad used to take my dad to Spurs as a boy, who in turn did the same with me. For the last 16 years, I have had a season ticket at Tottenham, my first being right behind the pillar in the lower tier of the Shelf! When my boy was born in 2007, it gave me an opportunity to introduce him to the Tottenham family, the same way my dad did, and his father before him.

My reason for setting up EKS with Ray was initially to support some of the older generation that have been going since the ’70s but now struggle to get tickets. As we’ve evolved and grown, it’s clear that we can support every member of EKS in their own individual way, whether it be through coach travel, priority ticketing, being part of community events, or just having someone from your local area that you can share travel with or meet in the pub on match day! Whatever your reason for joining EKS, I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

Unlike Ray and Ross, I have only supported Spurs for a few years after our neighbour invited my husband, son and I to attend a match not long after the new stadium opened. Watching that one match in such a magnificent setting was enough to get us hooked and we are now Season Tickets holders sharing the highs and lows of the game.

Although a new supporter, much of our home life revolves around football as my son plays for a couple of Kent teams, coaches youth teams and has recently qualified as a Referee. My Husband is a lifelong Newcastle fan which can present some amusing challenges when playing Spurs at home!

My background spans nearly 30 years in the NHS during which time I have predominantly supported the development of services to best meet the needs of the communities they serve. I am delighted to be asked to join the Committee as the Secretary and aim to use the same expertise and skills to ensure that our Spurs community continues to develop and thrive for the benefit of all.
